By downloading or using the Codedas app, these terms automatically apply to you, so please read them carefully before using the app. You are not allowed to copy or modify the app, any part of the app, or our trademarks in any way. You are not allowed to attempt to extract the source code of the app, and you should not try to translate the app into other languages or make derivative versions. The app itself, and all the trade marks, copyright, database rights and other intellectual property rights related to it, belong to Daichi Sasaki.
Daichi Sasaki is committed to making the app as useful and efficient as possible. For that reason, we reserve the right to make changes to the app, or to charge for its services, at any time and for any reason. We will never charge you for the app or its services without making it very clear to you exactly what you are paying for.
Codedas Pro
Codedas Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks Apple Watch support, places, and iCloud sync. It is not a subscription. The purchase is made through Apple, is tied to the Apple Account you buy it with, and can be restored on your other devices from the app's settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under the terms of the App Store; we cannot issue them ourselves.
Your cards are your responsibility
Codedas stores the codes you add on your device, and it is your responsibility to keep your phone and access to the app secure. We therefore recommend that you do not jailbreak your phone, which is the process of removing software restrictions imposed by the official operating system of your device. It could make your phone vulnerable to malicious software, compromise your phone's security features, and it could mean that Codedas will not work properly or at all.
Deleting a card cannot be undone. Restoring from a backup file replaces what is on the device rather than merging with it. Keeping a copy of anything you cannot afford to lose is up to you.
Whether a shop, a scanner or a card issuer accepts a code shown on a screen is up to them, not to us. Codedas draws the code from the value you gave it, and cannot know whether a card is still valid, or whether a code that is issued fresh each time will be accepted. Keep the physical card with you when it matters.
Things we cannot take responsibility for
Some parts of the app — iCloud sync, purchases, and maps when you save a place — need an active internet connection. That connection can be Wi-Fi or provided by your mobile network provider, but Daichi Sasaki cannot take responsibility for the app not working at full functionality if you do not have access to either. If you are using the app outside of an area with Wi-Fi, your agreement with your mobile network provider still applies, and you may be charged for data, including roaming charges outside your home territory.
Along the same lines, Daichi Sasaki cannot always take responsibility for the way you use the app. You need to make sure that your device stays charged — if it runs out of battery and you cannot turn it on to show a code, Daichi Sasaki cannot accept responsibility.
The app lists URL schemes for opening other apps, and can run shortcuts you have made. Those apps and shortcuts are not ours, and we accept no liability for what they do or for their availability. Daichi Sasaki accepts no liability for any loss, direct or indirect, you experience as a result of relying wholly on this functionality of the app.
Updates and termination
At some point we may wish to update the app. The app is currently available on iOS; the system requirements (and those for any additional systems we decide to extend the availability of the app to) may change, and you will need to download the updates if you want to keep using the app. Daichi Sasaki does not promise to always update the app so that it is relevant to you, or so that it works with the version of iOS installed on your device. However, you promise to always accept updates to the application when offered to you. We may also wish to stop providing the app, and may terminate use of it at any time without giving notice of termination to you. Unless we tell you otherwise, upon any termination, (a) the rights and licenses granted to you in these terms will end; (b) you must stop using the app, and (if needed) delete it from your device.
Changes to these Terms and Conditions
I may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page, so you are advised to review it periodically.
